Our networking icebreakers like this can be played as a fun challenge.

The EO can give attendees a heads up on what to expect, or not.
- When attendees arrive at the event, they scan the QR code at the entrance to the event and access the wheel of conversation/ engagement
- They are presented with a page of short instructions telling them how to participate in the activity.
- They spin the wheel and hold up their phone to the attendees already in the room.
- Those who see it spin their own wheels to try to match the avatar on the new attendee's phone screen.
- They cannot approach the new attendee until and unless their spin lands on the same avatar.
- When that happens, the attendees can get together and have a conversation.
- It may happen that two or more people spin and land on the same avatar at the same time. That's okay. They can get together as a group, or they can choose to spin their own wheel for a different avatar and hold it up to engage in conversation with someone else.
- Here's the thing: unless the EO makes it a requirement before conversations take place, an attendee does not have to spin the wheel in order to engage with someone else.
- However, if an attendee finds themselves standing alone and wanting to engage with someone, they can spin the wheel and hold up their avatar for a connection.
- The EO can let everyone know that they are encouraged to support those who hold up their avatars by connecting with them.
