Business Relationship Skills for Tech-minded Teams and Individuals
Let me first address what I mean by 'tech-minded' teams and individuals.
These are individuals with an aptitude for technology-related tasks requiring them to interact with software and hardware to deliver the desired results. Precisely because of their technology skills, they are sometimes called upon to assume roles that require them to interact with internal and external customers. The introvert mindset required for focusing and engaging with technology is not the extrovert mindset required for interacting with people. Tech-minded individuals that find themselves in positions with titles such as Lead Tech, Project Manager, Demonstration Rep, Sales Rep, and Account Manager, find they lack the communication skill set to efficiently and empathetically engage and interact with others. I help your tech-minded individuals and teams understand how they can develop and/ or hone their business relationship skills so they can excel in all aspects of their jobs. Lacking this skill can be disastrous in many ways and, depending on whether the customer is internal or external, can result in consequences of varying degrees.
